Working for tLS
Currently we lack a significant budget to compensate for all the needed professionals on our team. We are, however, willing to consider volunteer, in-kind service, or partial payment for any service you are willing to provide. As we build our donor base, apply for grants, and develop our budgets, we plan to offer fair compensation to all staff members.
The following is a list of openings we would like to fill:
Executive Administrative Assistant—We seek a candidate who lives in the New York City area and is able to provide administrative support to our Executive Director in tasks pertaining to office organization, computer and hard filing, word processing, website updates, mailing, etc.
Development Coordinator—tLS would like to establish a sustainable funding structure that includes fundraising campaigns and building a system of finding public and private grants and donations. We seek a candidate who has experience in the non-profit sector, establishing or maintaining funding systems, or would like to further their development capabilities.
Grants Writer—tLS is in the process of seeking grants and building a sustainable funding structure. We seek a candidate that has experience in grant research, fundraising campaigns, and/or grant writing, and would like to help us achieve our goals of sustainability.
Graphic Designer—Each year tLS sets goals to publish a number of materials to support our mission. They include: Illumine, SOTA, press packets, brochures, a Limner catalog and more. We have already established working relationships with other professionals who volunteer their time to produce professionally executed materials. We seek a candidate that has graphic design experience in the publishing sector, preferably with Adobe InDesign, a desire to develop their resume and increase their experience and would like to contribute to one or all of our publications.
