“Identity”
completes the third annual gathering of the Limner Society. This exhibition
is the expression of four artists who spent last week holed up in
an East Harlem studio exploring the theme of identity.
For the course of the week each twenty-hour workday was a conversation
that began with a reflection over bagels and coffee and continued
the rest of the day in a sharing of life experiences and a celebration
of community. The work created is a combination of the artists' individual
production, the encouragement of studio guests, and the dialogue between
their faith journeys. This year’s theme “identity”
describes who we are at our core, how we see ourselves, and what roles
we play.
We invite you to enter our visual dialogue and consider “identity”
with us. |
