Dear Contributors,
It’s time to start putting together Illumine, Volume 2. I’m excited to be compiling and editing the Limner Society’s devotional guide again this year. Our goal is to publish 31 entries this year.
We hope you feel that you have something significant to contribute that will encourage artists of Christian faith. Remember, you don’t have to be an artist to participate. Also, feel free to share this invite with others if you feel they have something to contribute to this project.
The deadline for entries is Monday, May 24, 2010.
Please submit your submissions to me at Illumine@LimnerSociety.com.
Entry Guidelines:
1. Please have your submissions focus on art and faith.
2. Please limit the entries to ideas that reflect strict adherence to Scripture. You may venture into personal stories, but please have Scripture supporting your thoughts.
3. Please restrict Arts focus to the Visual Arts.
4. Please limit your entries to no more than 3,000 words.
5. Please include a small bio statement (250 words or less) and an image of yourself.
6. Feel free to include images of artwork, whether your own work or work you would like to reflect upon.
7. Please supply written permission (attached) to publish said images and text.
Image submissions must be .jpg, .png, or .gif format, 300dpi resolution, and 3 inches in size on the longest side.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to discuss your submission, to help you come up with a topic and to walk you through the process. I look forward to working with you over the next few months.
Yours truly,
Keren Baltzer
Illumine Editor
