I painted this picture for the upcoming Artist Space benefit, Night of 1,000 Drawings. It has political overtones, but i believe it to be much more. It is entitled, “Rosa sat, so Martin could walk. Martin walked, so Barack could run. Barack ran, so our children could fly.”

The Limners gathered in NYC this past week and were able to recount the blessings we have been afforded over the past 7 years. It was a great time and we accomplished a great deal of the administrative work that artists hate to encounter. We will be looking forward now to using our Non-profit status (soon to be awarded) to seek funding to further our mission. We have many ideas of how to serve our mission, but are committed to shoring up our current programs before expanding. Stay tuned to see what God will do through the Limner society.

two more added to the ranks. just in time to get some work done for the Limner Gathering this coming week. i needed to finish before i had a few days of lessened studio time.
it has been a great couple of weeks painting. here is the latest.
I have been painting for 2 weeks straight (no side work) and loving it… the catch is that it is an exercise in faith. in a struggling economy, rent hikes, price inflation, etc., we have to trust that God will provide. please pray for us as we seek to do God’s will and as i continue on the path God laid out for me in my art.

The Limner Society has decided to rest in its seventh year. This year the Limners will gather in NYC to celebrate the past seven years of growth and praise God for what he has done. We will also seek God’s vision for our future. We hope to have many Limners, guests, and prospective board members join us during this time in October (15th-19th). Our hope is to share many insights into the next phase of the Limner legacy by the end of the year. Please pray that we may serve God’s intentions for the Limner Society to full measure.
